◎Royal Palace Museum
A prestigious building built in 1904 as the royal palace of the Lansan Dynasty. It is now open to the public as a national museum, and exhibits furniture actually used by the royal family, gifts from around the world, and the golden Buddha statue "Pavan Buddha" from which the city takes its name.
◎What My
The largest and most gorgeous temple in Luang Prabang city. It is characterized by a traditional multi-layered roof with five beautiful layers. The gold leaf miniature paintings (reliefs) that cover the entire front wall of the main hall are breathtakingly beautiful, depicting the Ramayana story and the daily lives of the people at that time in minute detail.
◎Wat Xieng Thong
The most prestigious temple in the city, built in 1560. The roof, which curves gently to the ground, expresses the perfect beauty of the Luang Prabang style.
◎Pousi Hill
A small hill about 100m above sea level that rises in the center of the old city. From the top of the mountain, which has more than 300 steps, you can enjoy a 360-degree view of the UNESCO World Heritage Site and the leisurely flowing Mekong River. Especially in the evening, the contrast between the madder red sunset and the cityscape is a spectacular view worthy of the highlight of your trip.
